Delivery Information
One of the most annoying things about ordering something offline is that you never really know when it’s going to show up; you might get given a date when your purchase will be despatched or, if you are lucky, a day when you should expect it to arrive. However, we recognise that this really isn’t good enough. Having new garage doors fitted is something which is likely to cause enough upheaval as it is without the added stress of having to turn your life upside down in order to wait for a delivery. We understand you will already have prior commitments and may even be working a full-time job and thus we have done our best to come up with a delivery system which can fit around your present commitments and help make the whole process run as smoothly and as easily as possible.
You don’t need to worry about us randomly turning up on your doorstep one morning with your purchase and expecting you to be in and then charging you a new delivery premium when we find you aren’t. In fact, there are no hidden charges at all, the price which you get quoted for your new wooden garage doors will be the price you end up paying- delivery costs are included in your price. The only small exception to this is for our customers who live in the far north of Scotland. If you live in this geographical area then simply let us know and we will be able to come to some form of very reasonable arrangement in order to get your door to you as soon as possible.
So, your first job is rather an enjoyable one. Choose a type of door which you think will best suit your home and then decide on a colour, grain and finish for your new purchase. Then, when you order it online, or when you call us up to discuss your ideas, we will be able to get down to the nitty gritty of choosing a delivery time. You only have to wait 10-20 days for the delivery of your door after you have made the call which means that it will be less than a month from your initial decision to upgrade your home to the point when your doors have been fitted and your garage has been given a stunning new face-lift.
We will give you a ring 24 hours before your door is due to be delivered to make sure that you are going to be in and to let you know what time you should expect your door. We do understand, however, that even with this level of interaction, there could often be some sort of emergency which means that you aren’t in when our delivery men call. If this is the case then we can redeliver your door on another day for just a small redelivery charge added on.
When we do deliver the doors the process is relatively simple, the doors are expertly packed to ensure that they are safe and secure and all we ask of you is that there is someone on hand to help out our driver with the removal of the doors from the van and their delivery to your home. As I’m sure you can appreciate, the garage doors can be quite cumbersome and, in order to ensure that our drivers remain safe and that they can get to as many jobs as possible in one day, we ask that our customers help with the unloading of the doors in order to speed the whole process along. It is such interaction without customers that allows us to have reliable and speedy delivery times.
Once you have your doors it is important that you store them in the correct manner- they need to be placed on a hard flat surface until such a time arrives when you need to fit them. It is important that you protect the mechanism and the finish of your doors by storing them in this way; you don’t want to have waited with anticipation for your new doors only to damage them once they actually arrive. You should try and fit your doors as soon as possible after they arrive; all our products come with an exhaustive and easy-to-read instruction booklet which will help you safely and efficiently fit your doors into place (although we are always at the end of the computer or the phone should any problems arise for you).
